About Me: Dr. Ajeet Yadav has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, since February 2024. He earned his B.Tech. degree in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, India, in 2016, and completed his Ph.D. in Mining Engineering in 2022. Dr. Yadav also worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Mining Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, India, where he contributed to the design of safe parting thickness and optimal goaf edge support requirements for pillar extraction under soft cover. His research expertise lies in Rock Mechanics and Ground Control, with a particular focus on solving ground control problems through numerical modeling applications.
