About Me: Dr. Amit Rai Dixit is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad. With a robust academic background, including a B.Tech., M.Tech., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, he has been dedicated to advancing research and education in manufacturing technologies, additive manufacturing, tribology, and non-conventional machining processes. With over two decades of academic and research experience, Dr. Dixit has supervised numerous Ph.D. and M.Tech. scholars, fostering innovation and contributing to the development of cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. His research spans areas such as nano-particles, surface coatings, and biomedical applications of manufacturing technologies. He has successfully led several funded projects sponsored by prestigious organizations like DRDO, SERB, and DST, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
