About Me: I am Kartick Chandra Jana (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.E. and M. Tech. degrees from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India, in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and Ph.D. degree from Jadavpur University, West Bengal, India, in 2013. I am currently an Associate Professor with the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India. Before joining IIT(ISM) Dhanbad in the year 2012, I was at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, for 9 years. I have more than 21 years of teaching experience. I have implemented one R&D project from DST(SERB) at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, one project from NaMPET, and one Pedagogical project from GOI at BIT, Mesra Ranchi. I have guided 09 PhD students and am currently guiding 7 PhD students. My current research interests include the design and control of multilevel inverters for various applications, 3-phase and multiphase motor drives for EVs, control of grid-connected PV systems, DC and AC microgrids, fault identifications in power converters, etc. I am an active reviewer of leading IEEE Transactions, including IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, IET Power Electronics, etc. I am the authored/co-authored of 3 granted and 3 published national patents and published more than 90 papers in international journals of repute, including IEEE Transactions and conferences.
