About Me: Dr. Nitai Pal is currently working in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India as a full-time Professor. He received his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees from the University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India in the year 1998 and 2000 respectively. He did his Ph.D. (Engg.) from the Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in the year 2007. He has total experience of more than 24 years in teaching. Dr. Pal has 90 nos. of research publications in the journals of repute. Moreover, he has also published several books and book chapters through International and National conferences. He has completed four R&D research projects. One R&D research project is ongoing under his supervision. He is the peer reviewer of various International Journals; like IEEE, IET, Elsevier, Springer, IJCEE, IJCTE etc. Dr. Pal is the member of various international and national professional bodies like: SMIEEE, FIE, FIETE, IAENG, IACSIT, IDES, IAES, IIIE, ISTE, SSI. Twelve Indian patents have been granted and sixteen research scholars have already been awarded Ph.D. under his supervision. Eight research scholars are continuing their Ph.D. under his guidance. His research interests include application of power electronics, renewable energy systems, micro-grid, smart-grid, electric vehicles, battery charging systems etc.
