About Me: Dr. Prashanta Kr. Mahato serves as a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad. He joined the Institute in 2010 after completing his PhD from IIT Kharagpur under the supervision of Prof. D. K Maiti. In 2012, Prof. Prashanta Kr. Mahato did his postdoctoral studies in Politecnico di Torino under the Erasmus Munds India4EU programme with Prof. Erasmo Carrera, where he worked on Aeroelastic analysis on laminated Box-Beam. He has completed many externally funded projects from SERB, DST, AR&DB, etc. He has published around 50 articles in International Journals and Conferences. His areas of expertise are composite material, active vibration control, computational mechanics, bio-mechanics, and aeroelasticity. PhD Opening: M. Tech/B.
