About Me: Sagar Pal is working as Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. He is currently serving as Dean (Research & Development) of the Institute, following his previous role as Associate Dean (R&D)-Research Infrastructure and Head, Central Research Facility of the Institute. He was a DAAD Fellow at University of Siegen, Germany in the year 2012. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is the recipient of MRSI Medal-2023. He was the recipient of Professor R. D. Desai 80th Birthday Commemoration Award-2021, given by Indian Chemical Society, Kolkata.

Research Interest: • Polymeric gels, amphiphilic copolymers and their biomedical applications. • Polymeric flocculants, photocatalysts towards environmental remediation.
