About Me: Dr. Satadru Das Adhikary is currently holding the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad. Prior to joining IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at National University of Singapore (NUS) for 2 years 3 months. Dr. Adhikary received his B.Eng. with first class honors from IIEST, Shibpur in 2007 and Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore in 2014. He has published one patent and developed 4 GUI-based computer programs out of which 2 are filed for Copyright in India. In total, he has 13 years 1 month of research, teaching and industry experience till November 2024. Till now, he has published 64 articles, in which 10 articles as book/book chapter, 25 articles are in International Journals, 17 articles are in International Conference Proceedings, 12 articles as reports, thesis, magazine and research bulletin. His articles are well cited (Total no. of citation: 862; h-index: 12; i10 index: 14 as per Google Scholar) all over the world. He is the recipient of “Promising Young Structural Engineer Award 2020” from Indian Association of Structural Engineers (IAStructE). Currently, he is serving as an Associate editor of ASCE Practice Periodical on Structural Design and Construction Journal from July 2020, Technical Committee Member: IEC Impact and Explosion of RILEM, Europe, Associate Member of ACI Committee 370, Blast and Impact Load Effects, Working Group Member of TG 2.12-Protective Concrete Structures against Hazards of International Federation for Structural Concrete and Technical Committee Member of Blast, Shock and Impact of ASCE. He served as guest editor for November edition of 2021 of the Indian Concrete Journal (ICJ). He is a Member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Member of American Concrete Institute (ACI), Member of RILEM, Member of The Institution of Engineers India (IEI) and Life Member of Indian Society for Construction Materials and Structures (ISCMS).
