About Me: I am currently an Assistant Professor in the department of Mathematics and Computing, IIT (ISM) dhanbad. Prior to that, I worked as a visiting scientist in SQC & OR unit, ISI Kolkata. I completed my PhD in statistics in 2019 from IIT Kanpur under the guidance of Prof. Debasis Kundu. I received my MSc degree in Mathematical Statistics in 2013 from IIT Kanpur. My research interest focuses on life time data analysis under joint censoring schemes, statistical inference under accelerated life test, acceptance sampling plan, decision theoretic sampling plan, and distribution theory. In survival analysis, we are exploring different bivariate cure rate models. We delve in to the area of robust estimation and are working on robust reliability prognosis of one shot devices, robust estimation in panel data. In robust Bayesian inference, we work on density power divergence based posterior. In Bayesian estimation, we leverage different Monte Carlo Markov Chain methods, like Metropolis Hastings algorithm, MCMC in Hamiltonian Dynamics. Currently, I am mentoring three research scholars. I look forward to working with highly motivated candidate willing to explore those research areas. I try to live my life on the mantra “All power is within you; you can do anything and everything” by Swami Vivekananda.
