About Me: Prof. Subrata Kumar Ghosh joined IIT (ISM) Dhanbad in 2008 as Assistant Professor and became Professor in the year 2024. Prof. Ghosh completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Durgapur, and PhD from NIT Rourkela. Subrata Ghosh has research interests in Tribology, nanofluid, nanolubricants and its applications focused towards sustainable technology. Prof. Ghosh has published more than 100 SCI journal papers. Dr. Ghosh has received Erasmus Mundus Action 2 AREAS+; DUO-India Professor Fellowship Award. Dr. Ghosh has become top 2% of Scientists on the basis of survey conducted by Stanford University for last four consecutive year. So far 19 PHD and around 80 MTech students have graduated from his laboratory.
