About Me: I am Dr. Lakshmi Srinivas Vedantham, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. I also lead the Clean Energy Smartgrid Laboratory and the Electric Mobility Club. With a Post-doc at Cardiff University (UK) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi, my research focuses on renewable energy, power electronics, and smart grid technologies. I have received several awards, including the ISSS Young Scientist Award in 2024 and the POSOCO Power System Award in 2021. I have over 5 granted patents, several high-impact publications and research presentations at several international conferences. I have led and collaborated on several high-impact projects with significant funding (exceeding INR 3.5 crore) for pioneering research projects from esteemed institutions. As the principal investigator of several projects, I focus on electric vehicles, renewable energy integration and cyber-physical power systems. I also teach courses on renewable energy, electric & hybrid electric vehicles, battery management systems, power quality, energy audit etc., while mentoring M.Tech. and Ph.D. scholars. My work bridges academia and industry, and I am committed to creating sustainable energy solutions that drive innovation and address global energy challenges.
